An orthodontic check around age 7 is commonly recommended. Many children don't need treatment at that age, but an early visit can identify developing problems.

Dr. Burns will talk with you about your concerns, examine the teeth and bite, and explain what she finds. If treatment may help, she will discuss the options that fit and our team can answer questions about scheduling and payment.

Bring completed new-patient forms if you have them, a list of current medications, your dental insurance card if you have coverage, and your questions.

Yes. There is no upper age limit as long as the teeth and gums are healthy.

Brush after meals, floss daily using the tools our team shows you, and avoid hard and sticky foods. Keep your regular cleanings with your general dentist.

Call your office. Our team will tell you whether you need to come in and what to do in the meantime. If you cannot reach the office and you have pain, bleeding, swelling, or an injury, go to urgent care or the nearest emergency room. For emergencies, call 911.
